These Terms and Conditions govern the use of the Lognotec Scientific website and the supply of products and services by Lognotec Scientific (“we”, “us”, “our”).
By accessing our website, submitting an enquiry, request for quotation (RFQ), or placing an order with us, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

3. REQUEST FOR QUOTATION (RFQ)
All products and services are supplied on a request-for-quotation basis.

  • Submission of an RFQ does not create a binding contract

  • Quotations are valid only for the period stated within them

  • Prices, availability, specifications, and lead times are subject to confirmation

  • Quotations may be withdrawn or amended prior to written acceptance

A legally binding contract is formed only when:

  1. A formal quotation issued by Lognotec Scientific is accepted in writing, and

  2. Acceptance is acknowledged or confirmed by Lognotec Scientific.

 

4. ORDERS & CONTRACT FORMATION

Orders may be placed by written confirmation, email, or purchase order following acceptance of a quotation.

  • Purchase orders must reference the applicable quotation

  • We reserve the right to accept or decline any order

  • No contract arises solely from issuance of a purchase order

Any additional or conflicting terms included in a customer’s purchase order or other document shall not apply unless expressly agreed in writing by an authorised representative of Lognotec Scientific.

Acceptance of a purchase order does not constitute acceptance of the customer’s terms and conditions.

5. QUOTATION SPECIFIC TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Lognotec Scientific may include specific commercial terms within a formal quotation, including but not limited to:

  • Advance or staged payment requirements

  • Deposits prior to procurement

  • Special delivery conditions

  • Extended warranty arrangements

  • Non-returnable or custom order provisions

  • Project-specific liability limits

In the event of any conflict between these Terms and Conditions and the terms contained in a formal quotation issued by Lognotec Scientific, the terms of the quotation shall prevail for that specific transaction.

6. PRICING & PAYMENT

Pricing, payment terms, taxes, and delivery charges shall be specified in the applicable quotation or invoice.

Unless otherwise stated:

  • Prices are exclusive of VAT

  • Payment terms shall be as specified in the quotation

Where applicable, Lognotec Scientific reserves the right to require advance payment, staged payments, or deposits prior to order confirmation or delivery.

Failure to comply with agreed payment terms may result in suspension of delivery or cancellation of supply.

We reserve the right to charge statutory interest and reasonable recovery costs on overdue payments in accordance with UK legislation.

 

7. DELIVERY
Delivery arrangements, lead times, and shipping terms will be confirmed as part of the quotation.

  • Delivery dates are estimates unless expressly agreed in writing

  • Risk in the goods passes to the customer upon delivery, unless otherwise stated

  • Lognotec Scientific is not responsible for delays caused by third-party carriers or events beyond reasonable control

Title (ownership) in the goods shall not pass to the customer until full payment has been received.

8. PRODUCTS & WARRANTIES

Products are supplied in accordance with manufacturer specifications and warranties where applicable.

Unless expressly stated:

  • Lognotec Scientific does not manufacture the products supplied

  • We do not provide independent warranties beyond those offered by manufacturers

  • Product suitability remains the responsibility of the customer

Technical or application guidance is provided in good faith based on available information. Customers remain responsible for validation, regulatory compliance, and appropriate use within their laboratory or operational environment.

9. SERVICES & THIRD-PARTY SUPPORT

Where services such as installation, maintenance, calibration, laboratory setup, or equipment servicing are arranged, such services may be performed by manufacturers or approved third-party providers.

  • Such services may be subject to separate terms

  • Lognotec Scientific’s role may be limited to coordination or facilitation

  • We are not responsible for the performance of third-party service providers beyond agreed coordination.

10. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • Lognotec Scientific shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or economic losses, including loss of profits, business interruption, or data loss

  • Liability for any claim shall be limited to the value of the goods or services supplied under the relevant contract

  • Lognotec Scientific shall not be liable for losses arising from misuse, improper storage, unauthorised modification, or failure to follow manufacturer instructions

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability which cannot lawfully be excluded.

11. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All content on this website, including text, images, and logos, is the property of Lognotec Scientific or its licensors and may not be reproduced without prior written permission.

 

12. DATA PROTECTION
Personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

 

13. FORCE MAJEURE

Lognotec Scientific shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform obligations due to events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to supplier delays, transport disruption, regulatory changes, industrial action, shortage of materials, or global supply chain disruption.

 

14. GOVERNING LAW & JURISDICTION
These Terms and Conditions, and any disputes or claims arising out of or in connection with them (including non-contractual disputes), shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of Scotland.
The parties agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.

 

15. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
We reserve the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updated versions will be published on this page and will apply from the date of publication.
